The Story behind Zapico Foods
Zapico Foods was inspired by a long line of Italian cooks. The matriarch, my grandmother Josephine Zapico, or “Jophie” as she was affectionately know, was the driving force behind all of my success as a cook, caterer, and foodie. Some of the best memories from my childhood involve my grandmother, aunt, mother and siblings in the kitchen. Those memories include everything from making ravioli and gnocchi to picking ingredients from our garden. Everything was always fresh and made from scratch in Jophie’s kitchen. At Zapico Foods, I have recreated the original taste of Grandma Jo’s recipes ,This Pasta sauce recipe dates back over 100 years. I will ensure that we maintain the quality and authenticity of our foods by only hand picking the finest ingredients and preparing each recipe with care and love. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.
