Although it was one of Money magazine’s top 100 places to live in 2007, Gahanna is also a great place to visit. Its new Creekside multi-use development contributed to its nod from Money. Creekside, home to the Blues and Jazz Festival, also hosts several restaurants, a cooperative office space, and a conference center. The walkways and creek make it a perfect place to take a stroll, or to take that little lady you’re trying to impress with your appreciation for nature. You can also impress her with your obscure art knowledge by showing her Glenna Goodacre’s sculpture “Basket Dance,” located in the complex. Goodacre designed the obverse side of the Sacagawea dollar and the Vietnam Women’s Memorial in Washington, D.C.
